life is like a tile
a day by day
one piece at a time
path
to somewhere you think you want to go
but you don't know
until you get there
if you've gone
the wrong way
sigh
Pics & Poems out of 'place'
life is like a tile
a day by day
one piece at a time

to somewhere you think you want to go

love - is like tennis...
u can be 3 nil up
and still lose the set
u can be 40 love and
lose the game
is it a game?
love?
there's a lot more at stake
u need to play hard, play fair,
be equally matched
and sometimes
DRIVE HOME A POINT!
4 love
while the world screams on
out there in TV land
here, today -
cars stop, its shut up shop
it's ANZAC Day
We remember them!
and those -
Living right now in screaming TV land

Heard it from 2 men today -
Low self esteem
Worthlessnes
What a shame and a waste
an ignorance of worth
- who just won't hear any different
and rebut any proof!
...out of the blue friendship jumps out and claims you.
True friendship is rare I think ... and boldness required to take friendship's risky leap.
An honour when it's not you doing the leaping!
We had a lovely day together...visiting local 'sites'
New to her, old to me...gave the new car a whirl as well!
Strangest thing is that she's just like my last 'best friend' who left town a few year's back. What's that about?
...Mum rang early today ...doctor says it's benign!
meant to give her the result on Fri but didn't come in so
she had to wait all weekend!
must go myself and got that woman's check done
life is so fleeting, translucent, brief
you never know when your number is up
that reminds me
of that In Memoriam in the paper on Friday
put in by a Mum and Dad of a young man stabbed
in George Street a couple of years back
said that Jayden (son) had told them about having an
experience of being lifted up and God's voice saying
to him 'I even use rebels like you Jayden'
2 days before he died
She may be the Princess
but I'm the Queen ... he said!
Nothing like a healthy self esteem
It's fun working with the man
So, not just another day today
Brought home the beast ... a big red,
powerful, easy handling
digitally intelligent
status symbol? nah!
pleasure machine!
passport to the bush
off the bitumen we go
but ... scratch it! ... god NO
...what to write tonight!
it's alright
I guess
when there's nothing to say
just the silence
of the tele turned off
and the peace at the end of
a working day
Well it's Sunday Easter Day. Slept in, went for a swim, cleaned scraps of wood and concrete from conceters. Ron poisoned the weeds preparing for our new garden ...
Family arrives and its on the net looking for 99c wedding dresses from China?? Turns out postage is $179.00 ![]()
No one wants my chocolate easter bunnies. Not buying them next year that's for sure.
So, why aren't I going to church!
mmmm??
Used to go 3 times a week!
Sunday School bible prize winner.
Is God there ... in church I mean?
Does he enjoy those songs that have been sung over and over repeatedly, monotonomously year after year. I don't.
Does He miss me?
Is He/She cool with me
anywhere I am
In this moment, in this place (not in church buildings)
I hope so!
I ate 4 HOT CROSS buns yesterday!
Nice and soft with nice chewy sultanas and those funny white cross bits on them.
For tea went out to a touristy restaurant and had barramundi, with oysters for starters. Friday is the day you eat fish right?
Came home to watch a video someone lent us - a horror thing.
That stopped dead 3/4 through and ended up getting thrown out of the machine in frustration.
During the day though we watched a bit of tele...Jesus last days according to Mary (mother)! ...
...it was the women who never left Jesus side through all that shit and death he went through, and the women he first appeared to 3 days later. Shame that women never got named among his disciples.
Was thinking ...what kind of egomaniac conciously chooses to be crucified in the most humiliating way possible, when he knows exactly what is going to happen and could avoid it.
As the Jesus story goes - it's an enigma, an annoying bit of history that won't go away and continues to challenge and evoke continued attention through the centuries - none the least this new one.
'Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks'
...yet so often people spend hours whinging and gossiping about everything and everyone. This negative stuff is used to build alliances, boost egos and wile away time. A good thing happens and it passes without comment. An error or mishap and it's got our full attention.
What is that saying about us!
Is Australian culture intrinsically negative - how can this be when many of us, caucasions anyway, have up with the best living conditions in the world!
What are our hearts full of then? ...that our tongues are so bitter. What memories of time's past, what role models, what rules, codes and mores have so poisoned our tongues.
What 'stick' is there, to be thrown into this pool of conciousness to remove it's bitter taste?
The strangest thing happened. Driving along my eyes suddenly focused on the odometer for no conscious reason! ...it read 47776 kilometres. Oh I thought - 4 7's that's timely ...but then, before my eyes it clicked over to 47777 - amazed I watched it all the way home (in between checking for traffic) as I drove in the driveway the moment was gone as 47778 appeared!
A very '7' moment
Why did my eyes suddenly pay attention to this impending event. What does it mean? What do you think?
